Area «Herrenmätteli»

The outdoor playground for children and adults is right on the doorstep in Wimmis: locals and guests enjoy the proximity to nature and the numerous opportunities for recreation, sports, culture and excursions. 

Forest hut and barbecue area Herrenmätteli
In the middle of the forest and only a few minutes' walk from the railway station lies the Herrenmätteli, a forest clearing with a covered barbecue area belonging to the «Schweizer Familie» (informations only in German) The forest hut, furnished with tables and benches, offers space for up to 20 people and can be rented. The costs depend on the rental period.

We call on all visitors to take care of the forest hut and the barbecue area. Treat the Herrenmätteli with respect - it belongs to our village and thus to all of us.
